Certified Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant needed for small nurse practitioner led practice.

We are seeking an experienced medical assistant to accompany two nurse practitioners to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities as well as cover a few afternoons per week in our outpatient clinic. Schedule is somewhat flexible; we do require in-person coverage while the NPs are at the SNF/ALF.

Duties

  • Taking vitals
  • Entering vitals into the EHR
  • Taking the chief complaint
  • Entering the chief complaint into the EHR
  • Calling family members of patients to update them on patient condition and review satisfaction with service
  • Calling patients to remind them of appointments, review medication refills, authorize medications, and more
  • Performing prior authorizations
  • Performing Cover My Meds
  • Entering new patients’ information into EHR
  • Answering office phone
  • Reviewing the fax
  • Minimal in-office paper filing
  • Moderate amount of electronic filing via fax
  • Scribe providers’ paper notes into EHR

Requirements

  • Must be intensely focused on patient satisfaction; empathy, care, and compassion are our goal with every patient encounter
  • Must be excellent communicator; you cannot over-communicate
  • Must be an independent worker
  • Must be responsible; show up to work on time, every time
  • Certified medical assistant

Compensation

  • $20 / hour
  • 35-40 hours per week, no benefits

Medical Director of Nursing Home

Duties

  • FL Licensed Medical Doctor
  • Work directly with existing Providers
  • Work with Board of NWSC
  • Review services for cost containment, cost management, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvements
  • Participate in various Administrative Meetings (Can be remote)
  • Interim 6-month position (could be permanent)
  • No clinical duties ,no patients to see, no travel
  • Advisory work as required

Compensation

  • Total Approx 15hrs p/m at pre-scheduled days and times
  • Hourly rate of $222.22p/h
